Overview: Hwang DeWitt is an architectural firm in Oakland, California. They needed a new logo to use for their website, business cards, invoices, and marketing purposes.
Goal: Create a modern and fresh logo that both partners liked, a design that reflected the values of Hwang DeWitt.
Process: I researched many other architecture firms and their logos. I brought them all together and presented them to the stakeholders. I was able to find out what they liked and didn’t like, and got a good feeling for the design direction of the logo. From there I sketched out some ideas and made some mocks going in different directions. Seeking stakeholder feedback, I was able to iterate on the logo a few more times until we rested on the final logo. As a bonus I made the stakeholders business cards with the new logo.
